Neuschwanstein & Linderhof Castle-Fairytale Day Tour from Munich

1.Neuschwanstein & Linderhof Castle-Fairytale Day Tour from Munich

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 7,275 reviews · 10 hours 30 minutes (approx.) · from $95Our pick

Travel from Munich to Linderhof and Neuschwanstein with an English-speaking guide, passing through Oberammergau and the Bavarian Alps. You’ll see Linderhof’s Rococo rooms and gardens, Mary’s Bridge, and Neuschwanstein’s interior. Guides such as Johnny, Hanae, Pedro, and Monica are praised for clear stories and good organization.

“It should be better known that you have to pay extra for tickets to enter the place (42€), ontop of what you already pay, and what you are then paying for is JUST transport in truth as both palaces have their own tour guide. However if you do want to do this trip going with a group is really the only and best way of doing it. The timing of the day was good, both palaces were worth seeing”

3.Sanssouci Palace and Prussian Palaces Entry Ticket

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 2,101 reviews · 1 day · from $25

Visit Sanssouci Palace at a reserved time, then use your day ticket at open Prussian palaces and garden sites in Potsdam. Expect Rococo rooms, royal kitchens, the New Palace, Chinese House, Marble House, and much walking. An audio guide supports the Sanssouci visit, while seasonal opening hours affect what you can see.

“Really easy. The signage is sparse, so make sure to factor in time for the wayfinding, as well. Basically, go up to the castle, pass the gift shop, and get in line with everyone else. Once your slot is called, they let you "skip ahead" to be admitted with your group of like 12 people. It's a nice pace. Sadly it rained a biblical amount when we were there, but there are lots of grounds to explore, too, so figure roughly 45-60 mins for the castle and then some time outside. We just showed our QR-codes on my phone. Simple.”
