Use a reserved entry ticket to explore Doge’s Palace at your own pace, without a guide. See the gold staircase, Great Council Chamber, armory, prison rooms, and Bridge of Sighs. Your ticket also includes Museo Correr, the National Archaeological Museum, and Marciana Library, all valid for one day.

Visit Pena Palace and Park on your own with a one-day ticket, timed palace access, entry to the Chalet of the Countess of Edla, and a Zoomguide audio guide in four languages. Reach the hill by train and bus from Lisbon, then allow about 30 minutes from the park gate to the palace.

Explore Granada’s Alhambra independently with entry to the Nasrid Palaces, Alcazaba, Generalife, Palace of Charles V, Mosque Baths, gardens, and exhibitions. Plan about 75 minutes, or longer if you read every panel or add an audio guide.

Finish in the palace garden area, with time for the café and gift shop.

Visit Crete’s Knossos Palace with a timed entry ticket sent to your phone. Walk through Minoan courtyards, storerooms, living areas, murals, and the throne room at your own speed. Add a self-guided audio tour in English, Italian, French, or Spanish, but bring headphones and expect to navigate the stops yourself.

Visit Sanssouci Palace at a reserved time, then use your day ticket at open Prussian palaces and garden sites in Potsdam. Expect Rococo rooms, royal kitchens, the New Palace, Chinese House, Marble House, and much walking. An audio guide supports the Sanssouci visit, while seasonal opening hours affect what you can see.
“Really easy. The signage is sparse, so make sure to factor in time for the wayfinding, as well. Basically, go up to the castle, pass the gift shop, and get in line with everyone else. Once your slot is called, they let you "skip ahead" to be admitted with your group of like 12 people. It's a nice pace. Sadly it rained a biblical amount when we were there, but there are lots of grounds to explore, too, so figure roughly 45-60 mins for the castle and then some time outside. We just showed our QR-codes on my phone. Simple.”
Spend a day exploring Berlin’s Charlottenburg Palace complex with entry to the Old Palace and New Wing, plus seasonal access to the New Pavilion and mausoleum. The visit is mostly self-guided, with room notes in German and English. Bring headphones if you want to use your phone as an audio guide.
